Meet Alisa Gentry
First Responder. Mom. Community Advocate. Ready to Fight for Our Kids.
Every day Alisa Gentry shows up when it matters most. As a first responder and parent, she’s ready to bring that same dedication to the Saugus Union Elementary School District Governing Board.
About Alisa Gentry
I am running to give back to the community.
I am running to give back to the community that nurtured my two special needs boys. I’ve experienced firsthand how caring—and patient—teachers and administrators can make all the difference in a student’s experience.
I am a committed advocate for students of all abilities, and I believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their challenges. I felt supported throughout my children’s education, and I want to help preserve and strengthen that same system for other families. Every student is unique, and each deserves understanding, support, and the chance to reach their full potential.
My Background
With 21 years as an EMT, a union member, and a parent, I understand what it means to step up when it matters most.
My work has always centered on safety and helping people when they need it—whether they’re dealing with something minor or facing a serious emergency. What makes my role as a first responder unique is that I work in the entertainment industry, and I’m often the only person in my role on set—the sole medic among a hundred or more people each day. In many ways, it’s similar to being a school nurse: a constant presence, ready to step in and keep everything running safely.
